Maradona calls new FIFA boss a traitor

The Renowned Argentine Footballer Diego Armando Maradona, has described New FIFA President Gianni Infantino as a traitor accusing him of occupying the post to defend Michel Platini.

The Swiss was elected at a time the world football governing was soiled in serious scandals, which led Sepp Blatter stepping down.

Although FIFA’s Ethics Committee has banned Michel Platini and Sepp Blatter from FIFA for six years, Maradona suspects Infantino to shield Platini.

“Infantino is a traitor and that will come out,” Maradona told Piuenne.

“He was carrying all the cards for Platini and Blatter too, yet he knew nothing? If that’s the case he’s stupid or senile,” the FIFA joint player of the 20th Century blurted

“He’s there now to defend Platini, his boss,” he stressed.

The former Argentina captain believes that Infantino is a ‘boy’ of Michel Platini and that he will be working his ‘shadows’.

The Swiss beat off competition from AFC President Sheikh Salman during the FIFA elections last Friday when the voting entered the second round to succeed fellow countryman Sepp Blatter.|
